Is Netflix’s ‘Virgin River’ renewing for season 3?

In the first season, we saw Mel Monroe, aka Alexandra Breckenridge, running away from her past life in Los Angeles to become a midwife and nurse in a small town in Northern California of Virgin River, only to find out that no matter where she goes, she can’t escape from her past, but also small-town living has its own major drama.

Then in the second season, we saw all the breakups, makeups, and surprising only to find out that the show will end in a cliffhanger, which makes us wait for the third season.

Has Virgin River been renewed for season three?

Yes! Obviously, they must, or it would be a crime to leave us in suspense. On Friday, December 18, 2020, Netflix announced that they are renewing Virgin River for the third season.

Additionally, What’s on Netflix also revealed the production listing in July,, revealing the third season of Virgin River is scheduled to start filming between August to December 2020.

When will the third season of Virgin River be released?

If the production really started in August,,, we can expect the third season to launch in late November 2021.

What will happen in the third season?

As the second season of Virgin River ended with at least one cliffhanger for all the characters, we can expect the next season to address these cliffhangers.

Spoiler alert!!

We can expect Jack and Mel to be back together, preachers decision between either to stay in Virgin River or take the new chef job in San Francisco and the medical news the doctor Mullins was sharing with hope which was interrupted by a surprise re-engagement party and more importantly who shot Jack? or did he survives.

Tenney hinted that the third season will not pick up right from its left in the second season, immediately after Mel saw jack bleeding from a gunshot wound on the bar floor, cautioning fans to expect “a larger time jump than we had between seasons one and two.”
