What We Refuse to Do in Disney World
Practical Preferences
One of the first questions people ask when they find out our team is visiting Disney World is, “What do you eat all day?” Well, it’s funny you ask. At Gizmoposts24, we’re experts in scoping out the latest menu changes, noticing the latest food trends, and yes, that means trying out the latest updates to the menu on occasion to tell you how it tastes.
We start our day early, getting ourselves ready to go play (work) in the parks and get our kids off to school. Having good gut health is important, especially if we’re going to be trying a lot of foods that particular day (looking at you, EPCOT festivals), so we’re fond of taking a blended superfood supplement packed with vitamins before we’re off for the day.
Sometimes we have an idea in advance of what new foods or updated menu items we’ll be picking up throughout the day and others tend to come as a surprise as we spot them! And that’s kind of the best part of eating our way around Disney World that we love — no two days are the same.
We’ve developed a system where we pick up a snack or two in one park like the Terror Cookie from Joffrey’s… and a soda to go with it at the nearby quick-service restaurant. Then it’s off to update another review of a crowd pleaser, for this scenario, we’ll say it’s the Jack-Jack Cookie Num Num from The Market.
Oh! Your day’s not done just yet, it’s been a while since we went to a particular restaurant to make sure we still haven’t changed our opinion of their meals. Then it’s time for a stop by Woody’s Lunch Box for a meal update! Yeah, when you’ve had a long day with a few snacks, that Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich with the Tomato Basil Dipper can sure hit the savory spot!
And if we’re really getting wild, let’s throw in a stop by The Cake Bake Shop to try out a seasonal treat or two! Other days though are kind of quiet on the food front. So when there’s not a lot going on that Disney World’s changing to the menus to try out, we tend to go with how we feel on that particular day.
Sometimes that looks like picking up a walkable snack like a pretzel or popcorn refill… other times we’re ready for place to sit for a while and order a bigger meal!
What We Refuse to Do in Disney World
Practical Preferences
Disney World offers all kinds of experiences and it’s safe to say there’s something for everyone. Packed with incredible rides, shows, and eats, there’s lots to enjoy. With that said, we go to Disney World EVERY DAY and there are some things we still refuse to do. A word of note before we get into five things we REFUSE to do in Disney World for weird, wild, or wholesome reasons: WE HAVE DONE EVERYTHING. We pride ourselves in our accurate reporting and we make sure to experience everything Disney has to offer. However, in our personal time, some members of our team avoid certain offerings.
We almost always opt for bringing our own refillable container to Disney World, including cost savings and environmental benefits. The Disney Parks feature several refill stations and it won’t cost you a penny to use them. You can also get free cups of water from restaurants and quick-service locations.
One thing we don’t do generally ever at the Disney Parks is… BUY WATER! It’s funny you ask. At Gizmoposts24, we’re experts in scoping out the latest menu changes, noticing the latest food trends, and yes, that means trying out the latest updates to the menu on occasion to tell you how it tastes.
Another thing we won’t do is wait for anything longer than 45 minutes. In fact, one of our team members added they won’t even wait more than 10 minutes for Peter Pan’s Flight — meaning they never ride. Look, we need to reiterate that we go to Disney World every day, so we value our time differently than most tourists and non-passholders.
Some of our favorite rides that usually have stomachable wait times include the Carousel of Progress, Pirates of the Caribbean, Expedition Everest, Star Tours, and Living with the Land.
Finally, you probably won’t see us using hotel gyms while visiting Disney World. We’ll never knock anyone taking care of their fitness during a vacation. However, many on our team feel they get enough cardio in during their park days.
In fact, many reach their step goals by 10 AM! Of course, if you’re not like us and want to get your usual workouts in, rest assured that the Disney World hotels have gyms if you still want to get reps in.
