Pokémon Go April Fools’ Day Event: Pokémon Debut, Start and End Time, Research Tasks, Raid Updates and more!

Pokémon Go has a new event with the debut of a Pokémon from Unova and two Shiny forms this April. It is, of course, an April Fools’ Day event, which focuses on “jokester” Pokémon. This indicates to the Pokémon you find in the mains but as those who like to trick trainers.

Pokémon like Gastly, Haunter, Ditto, Sudowoodo, Voltorb, Croagunk, Stunfisk, Aipom, and Foongus will have an increase in wild spawns.

We are finally getting the much-awaited debut of Stunfisk. This Ground-and Electric Pokémon will appear in the event many times. It will look more frequently in the wild as well as hatch from 5km Eggs, accompanied by Aipom, Wynaut, Croagunk, and Bonsly.

Start and End time

The Pokémon Go April Fools’ Event, 2020, began on April 1, Wednesday, at 8 a.m. It will run through the seven days and end on April 7, Tuesday, at 10 p.m local time.

Shiny Croagunk

Another debut we’ll see is Croagunk, who is the new Shiny Pokémon. Like all the other Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go, trainers will first have to come across it, and only then, will they get to know if they’ve found the rare form of the Pokémon.

Croagunk will come in Level 1 Raids, and it will appear more often in the wild and hatch more from 5km Eggs.

If players use Go Snapshot, they will come across two new Pokémon – Aipom and Croagunk. Trainers can find the new Shiny through Research Tasks. They can obtain the Poison and the Fighting Pokémon in five ways through the Research Tasks in the event.

Pokémon Go Research Tasks

Trainers can overcome the four Research Tasks to obtain the new Shiny Pokémon. Three include encountering Croagunk, Sudowoodo, and Stunfisk as the prize.

These are the new Research Tasks:

Catch three ditto – Croagunk

Give a treat to you Buddy Pokémon – Sudowoodo

Walking with your Buddy Pokémon, earn three candy – Stunfisk

Catch three Voltorb  PokeBall x3

Raid Update

You can bring more of these “jokester” Pokémon into Boss Battles, along with different Ghost types, using the latest Raid update in the game.

Here are the Raid Bosses in the event:

In Level 1, there will be Croagunk and Wobbuffet.

Level 2 will have Sudowoodo, Misdreavus, and Sableye.

Level 3 will include Alolan Muk, Gengar, and Banette.
