Megxit which is made to sound like Brexit is the exit of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from performing the senior roles in the British Royal family. Early, in January 2020, the couple made it public on their Instagram Profile (sussexroyal) that they will be taking a step back from the senior members of the family. The reason they gave was that the couple wanted financial independence. The couple also removed their Instagram Account which tied them to the older members in their family.
Over the course, there have been many speculations regarding Megxit. Many people have spoken and given their opinions which differed from the reasons given by the Duke and Duchess. Whatever the real; reason may be, the outcome is that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have stepped back and are now splitting their time by juggling living in North America and the United Kingdom.
In April of 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the name of their Non-Profit Organization. They named it Archewell. The name has a very deep meaning for them as it shares its origin with their son Archie’s name.
The couple has put the launch of Archewell on hold. A source very close to the couple says that the duo wants to learn from their past mistakes and will, therefore, take their own sweet time in launching the Organization taking into account all the necessary precautions. The couple currently is focusing on the Black Lives Matter Movement and other COVID relief efforts.
A source also told the media that as this is a lifelong investment for the couple they want it to be ‘just right’. When the Duke and Duchess can get fully invested, they will launch Archewell. People have always compared their work with Barack Obama and Michelle Obama’s! With Archewell they will do the same if not better.
