The Hollywood couple tested positive for COVID-19 in March 2020. However, they have now completely recovered from the disease. Tom Hanks recently opened up about his experience after being diagnosed with the coronavirus. During an interview on The Today Show, Tom Hanks revealed that he and his wife Rita had completely different reactions after were diagnosed with COVID-19.
During the interview, the actor stressed on how people can do their part to prevent the spread. Hanks mentioned that the least one could do is wash their hands, wear a mask, and follow social distancing protocols. When asked about the couple’s battle with COVID-19, Hanks said that he and Rita had completely different reactions. Hanks,63, was slightly more worried as he already has diabetes and a heart stent. Though he was at high risk, Hanks recovered fully from the virus. However, he mentioned that his wife’s reaction was opposite to the spectrum.
He revealed that his wife lost her sense of smell and had a high fever than him. Whereas, he was struggling with extreme fatigue and body aches that didn’t allow him to concentrate. The actor said that Americans should unify in their efforts to control the spread of the deadly virus.
