In 2018, Zendaya officially left Disney and moved on to feature films. Since then she has been a part of major productions like, ‘Far From Home’, ‘Euphoria’ etc. It’s commendable how she has managed to move through these productions unscathed and managed to keep herself out of the dark.
Zendaya has to be one of the most noticeable Ex Disney stars. She transitioned smoothly from being on Disney to the theatres but also she experienced some negative incidents. Disney has been known for ignoring their stars which ended in drug addiction or something much worse. Zendaya has spoken about the said ‘Disney Machine’ and revealed some gruesome details as well.
Over the years she has learned to trust her instincts and select projects wisely according to her, the script of Euphoria was so amazing that she felt it through her body. She also stated,
I also think it’s really just been about taking my time, not rushing, and trusting the right thing is coming even if it doesn’t feel like it. When I wasn’t in the position where I could say no to things, I would say yes and then, unfortunately, if it didn’t feel good all the way through my body and my being, it would always come back to haunt me.
Zendaya has removed her social media handles at points to get in touch with herself. It might get a little hectic with a lot of eyes on her but she has her ways out of it. According to her,
I’ve also learned to deal with that in the past few months by trying not to allow myself to worry or stress about the next move or what it is. Knowing that the right thing is going to come; and it’s going to happen at the right time. And until then, just focus on yourself and not worry so much about what it looks like to the rest of the world.
It’s noteworthy how she has managed to work her way around such a maze and come out unscathed. At such a young age it is easy to make mistakes but she has surely given her best.
