Comedy movies have always been a haven. Whether you have a bad day, an argument with your girlfriend, or plain depressed. It always provides us with good entertainment, corny jokes, and the crazy moments the movie offers. Along with the good pacing of the story. And Netflix’s latest comedic roller coaster “Coffee & Kareem” is here on our list of movies to binge on. Coffee & Kareem is an American action comedy film, directed by Michael Dowse and written by Shane Mack. It tells the story of Coffee, a cop from Detroit who must rescue her girlfriend and her 12-year-old son Kareem from a criminal organization, after the boy witnesses the murder. The film stars Ed Helms as James Coffee, Terrence Little Gardenhigh as Kareem Manning, Taraji P. Henson as Vanessa Manning. Along with Betty Gilpin as Detective Linda Watts, Andrew Bachelor as Rodney, David Alan Grier as Captain Hill.

The movie got a worldwide release on April 9, 2020, and is available for streaming on Netflix.


James Coffee is happily dating his new girlfriend Vanessa manning. Her 12-year-old son Kareem is not happy with the relationship of his mother and orchestrate the ploy of breaking the relationship. Attempting to scare his mother’s boyfriend for good. Kareem enlists the help of criminal Orlando Johnson. Little does he know that they are the actual bad guys. With Kareem accidentally discovering the secret network of a criminal organization. He becomes the target for the bad guys. Which led the unlikely duo coffee & Kareem to band together and protect Vanessa and their escapades in the Detroit city.

Later in the story, it is revealed that Linda Watts & Captain Hill are dirty cops running the secret network. Watt murders Hill and kidnaps Vanessa and Kareem. Coffee saves both of them but injured by watts. Vanessa manages to save coffee. This leaves the movie on Kareem giving his approval of dating his mom and as well as a happy ending.
