A fresh new buzz about gaming phones is in the air in 2020. Companies like Lenovo, Asus, and Nubia are currently ahead of everyone in this race. This is some pretty exciting news for gaming-freaks! Nubia is testing the gaming phone Red Magic 5S for a very long time now.
The company will announce it on July 28, 2020, in China. The official time of release hasn’t been announced yet.
The company has leaked some specifications about the phone. The gaming device is powered by the Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC. Nubia is increasing the performance forefront by combining the chipset with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The Red Magic 5S supports an FHD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. Nubia has confirmed that the two shoulder buttons on the phone will offer a touch sampling rate of 320Hz.
The phone has a silver-plated cooling system with a built-in fan! This way, it will overcome the problem of over-heating.
The phone will offer up to 16GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
Gaming phones are primarily for, well, of course, playing games! Are the phone makers running out of ideas? Is it another tactic to make users buy new phones? In a way, yes.
The gaming industry and the mobile world’s collision is quite recent. With popular games like PUBG, it is difficult to ignore such ventures. Multiplayer games have gained major popularity. Basic smartphones do not provide smooth gaming, so perhaps making a gaming phone is okay to overcome this hurdle. Such phones prioritize gaming, and everything else takes the back seat!
