The Promised Neverland was titled as anime of the season by many of the viewers as it quickly became a fan favourite, due to its exciting story and interesting characters. The show is based on the manga of the same name, and it’s been taking the anime community by storm ever since its release.
The animations, the character depth, and let’s not forget the opening itself are all to die for. The manga is nearing its end, but its popularity is still soaring. Let’s delve further into what’s in store for the anime community regarding this show.
What we know so far about Season 2
We don’t know when the show is going to air, but it will certainly be released in 2020. Most are expecting a spring release just like the first season. It will still a bit of time to know more about the directors, animators, and related crew members.
The first season had drawbacks at parts despite its success, so there is definitely room for improvement. If all goes well, The Promised Neverland can become one of the most iconic shounen animes like Naruto, Hunter X Hunter, Fullmetal Alchemist, etc. While it’s not as long as the other animes, it’s making it up for quality, just like Kimetsu No Yaiba (Demon Slayer), which is also nearing its end.
The story follows the life at an orphanage where kids are raised on the pretext of being sent off to families but are instead harvested and fed to unidentified creatures, and their wardens are the ones who oversee the entire operation. After three children figure out this secret, they band together to save themselves and the other children from this horrible fate.
If you are impatient for the anime, kindly check out the manga as it’s almost over, and it’s just as brilliant as the anime. We are all hoping Season 2 will surpass Season 1.
