13 reasons why is an American teen based thriller drama created by the streaming giant, Netflix. It is based on the book of the same name written by Jay Asher. The show is considered one of the most controversial shows as the show had been depicting suicide and self-harming scenes.
Though initially developed by Netflix as a ‘limited’ series, ie, not intended to have more than one season, the show’s popularity among teens made them continue for the 2nd, 3rd, and most recently the 4th season as well. The fourth season will be the final season of the series.
Though there is no official confirmation of the release date, It is expected by us to air somewhere in late 2020. The show’s 4th season is already under production and might hit Netflix between September or October(might!). Like all the previous three seasons, the 4th season is also expected to have its set quota of 13 episodes.
The first season followed Clay Jenson, played by Dylan Minnette, as he receives a box of cassettes that her friend Hanna recorded before committing suicide. Each tape focuses on a reason and a person because of whom she committed suicide. Clay is now determined to go in the depth, and series shows his path to ensure Hanna receives peace.
The second season follows the aftermath of Hanna’s death and how it affected everyone’s life as they now appear for trial while the third season has its roots set after eight months of season 2. Liberty high witnesses another death in the form if Bryce Walker.
The 4th and final season will reflect on the period after Bryce’s death.
The show’s characters that remain alive are likely to feature, and Bryce and Hannah can occur through flashbacks.
