Post four seasons of thrill and adventure, Riverdale continues to keep the humungous fanbase hooked. Not to mention the gorgeous and fierce cast of the show that has taken over the teenage demography pretty intensely. It isn’t a hidden fact that ever since the season four finale aired, the succeeding season (if there is one) is expected to answer the gazillion questions that have birthed. So let’s get rolling, shall we?

The America tee drama television series, Riverdale is a Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios production which is based on Archie Comics that is adapted for The CW. Shockingly the idea was originally conceived as a feature film adaption which was re-invented as a television series for Fox which moved to The CW in 2015. The story revolves around the adventures and unfolding of mysteries by a group of high school kids in a town called Riverdale.

After four seasons of successful running since January 2017, the Cooper-Jones-Andrews-Lodge fans will be pleased to hear that the show is all for a fifth installment as the official renewal was recently announced by The CW! However, the release dates haven’t been mentioned so far, but speculations suggest that it can be premiered sometime in October 2020.

Speaking of the elephant in the house, there is a major worry of Cole Sprouse leaving the show owing to the scene of his character’s death in Season 4. Drumrolls- it was all but a ploy! The character faked his death for his novel. Although no official happy announcements are made so far, we can expect the return of Jughead. (Whew!)

Along with that, we can rest assured about the return of KJ Apa as Archie, Lili Reinhart, as Betty, and Camila Mendes as Veronica in season 5.  With a jump of four years in the timeline (speculations), the story will extend beyond the season finale and unfold into a more mature grown version of the characters. So far, only theories have been made, so it’s best we patiently wait.
