The Irregular at Magic High School is a Japanese animated series based on a light novel of the same name. It made its debut back in 2014 and became a massive hit very soon. The show has been off the screens for a while now.
Since the release of the initial season fans have been keeping an eye on the updates of the future of the show. Fortunately, the official website of the production of the anime series has confirmed the release of the second installment!
When will it release?
Season 2 was originally scheduled to release in July 2020. However, the current pandemic over COVID-19 has pushed the release further. The series now is expected to be renewed by October 2020. Moreover, it will consist of twelve to thirteen episodes at most unlike season 1 which consisted of 26 episodes.

Risako Yoshida is confirmed to direct the ‘The Irregular at Magic High School’. The composer Taku Iwasaki will be returning to his position as well.

Any plot details
Much of the plot is under wraps as of now. However, it was revealed that it will follow the events after World War III. The story will depict how all the superpowers of the world got divided into four i.e the United States of North America, Soviet Union, Asian Alliance, and Japan.
In addition to this, it will revolve around two siblings – Tatsuya Shiba and Miyuki Shiba with the former being the bodyguard of the latter. They both enroll themselves in a Magical High School which divides the students based on their magical abilities.
This season is definitely going to be packed with endless magic, fantasy, and of course action! Sounds exciting right?
