ResetEra has an ever-active community, and they were the first ones to find out that there had been a mysterious disappearance from the pages of the Epic Games Store, which are video games launched exclusively on the digital store of the authors of games like the Unreal Engine and Fortnite. Here are the more details!
The game that has gone is Paranoia: Happiness is Mandatory, which is a role-playing adventure game developed by the French software house of Cyanide as an official transposition of the role-playing game played on paper of the same name.
It was launched in mid-December 2019 and had vanished from Epic Store pages in the second half of January this year, and there has been no news ever since then.
Impatient to find out what happened, users who were interested in getting a copy of Paranoia: Happiness is Mandatory to have tried their luck in getting to contact the French authors on their official social media profiles, but they didn’t get any response.
Meanwhile, the Paranoia card on the Epic Games Store is still showing the “404 Page not Found” error message. Meanwhile, the copy available on Steam has not shown any update and is simply reminding users of the Valve digital store that the game will be available sometime in 2020 after the time agreed between Cyanide and Epic Games is official.
The ResetEra community suggests that the cancellation might be due to Cyanide’s wish to significantly improve the game’s offer and content, but the judgments made against the game by the trade press at the end of 2019 were not exactly flattering.
Users still interested will have to wait until Epic Games, or Cyanide makes an official announcement for the game.
