Grand Theft Auto: Online has crashed!! Read to know why and how Rockstar Games have responded!!

If you are into gaming, I am sure that you would have played this game at least once. That’s how popular this game is! I’m talking about Grand Theft Auto, commonly known as GTA.

What is GTA?

GTA was an only be action game released back in 2013. It was developed and published by Rockstar Games. It supports many consoles like PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 1, Xbox 360 and supports Microsoft Windows in PC as well. So far, many version for the game has been released as it has a large fanbase than any other game.

As the game supports both single-player and multiplayer, the storyline differs. In single-player mode, you are one among a group of three criminals who commit heists and try to escape from the police and other criminals. In multiplayer mode, you can roam around the city of South Carolina and do what you wish.

You can also go around San Andrea’s countryside and Los Santos, a fictional town inspired by Los Angeles. You can steal bikes, cars, loot banks, and people and escape from the location using a map.

Coming to the latest update about the game, what happened over the weekend was completely shocking. As Epic Games have announced a free online game of GTA, the server has crashed because of all the fans over the world trying to access it. Along with GTA, other game servers like Fortnite and Battle Breakers were also crashed.

Though technicians are trying to fix it, the plethora of people logging in is too much to handle. Rockstar Games has given an official statement regarding the crash as,

Due to extremely high player volumes, we are currently experiencing issues with access to Rockstar Games Services, including the Rockstar Games Launcher and GTAV for PC. We are actively working to resolve the issue and will keep you updated on any changes.

Most affected places in the world are the US, UK, and Europe. It is expected that the site will continue to crash till May 21, which is the last date of the free trial.
