Ryzen 7 1700 has been launched in March 2017 whereas Ryzen 3 3300 was released recently in April 2020. The only drawback of Ryzen 3 3300 is that it has 4 cores in comparison to 8 cores of Ryzen 7 1700.
In terms of price, base frequency, max turbo, and memory support, AMD Ryzen 3 3300X has more benefits as it is recently launched with an updated version. Although Ryzen 3 3300X has better qualities except in the number of cores, the number of cores and threads will be an important factor for deciding which is good. As the demand for computer games is increasing, Ryzen 7 1700 has extra benefits for its purchase.
The Ryzen 3 3300X is fast enough as 26% quicker. Although Ryzen 7 1700 has a higher number of cores, it has lower gaming efficiency. With the RTX 2080 Ti, R7 1700 does not perform well whereas 3300X has 34% faster response. World Struggle Z do not get any such benefits to form using 8 core processor as it only shows the use of an average of 30% utilization. The same is the case with Borderlands 3 which has an average utilization of 30% of the Ryzen 7 1700 model. Similarly, Gear Tactics will be also preferred to be played on Ryzen 3 3300X.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider usually uses 6 and 8 cores. So, undoubtedly, 3300X shown a high of 97% with an average of 90% utilization whereas Ryzen 7 1700 peaked at high as 80% with a median of 70%. Similarly, Rainbow Six Siege will be preferred on Ryzen 7 1700 as it requires to be played on 8 core processor.
Both the model has been compared by working on various games. It can be concluded that Ryzen 7 1700 has been found weaker as it was 9% slower efficient than 3300X. Conclusively, it can be said that Ryzen 3 3300X is of excellent quality for gaming purposes than the Ryzen 7 1700.
It will be unsuitable to choose R7 1700 over the 3300X for playing video games entirely when the CPU-processor of later one has about 20, 30, and even 40% faster. It’s only for some games which preferred to work on higher number cores, then it will be an intellectual decision to take R7 1700.
