T-Mobile’s first 5G phones are a stepping stone to the real thing

There has been quite a lot of talks related to 5G these days. The companies are creating all the hype around it, claiming it to be the next big thing in the development of a new generation of communication technology. But is it really the case? Let’s find out.

T-Mobile has been claiming to be the only company currently providing the 5G technology, but on recent tests, the speed offered by the 5G phones was a little more than those offered by the current LTE. The two phones that support T-mobile extra speed or the so-called 5G are OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition and Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5 both claiming 20% extra speed, on the other hand, the box of OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition contains a clear message saying “5G is still developing” so we can clearly see that what we are getting currently is just a glimpse of what 5G can actually be, as it is expected to offer speeds up to 1GBps.

This clearly explains the fact that the companies are creating the hype just to boost their sales of newer smartphones; they escape by saying that the technology is still in the development phase. So all comes down to whether it is the right time to buy these phones? The answer remains the same No ! because the next generation communication system is still in the development phase, and it won’t offer us much at present.

Also, T-Mobile’s new 5G phones are compatible with the ultimate 5G experience that the company has laid out. The phones do not support T-Mobile’s millimeter-wave network, which means we would never have the chance of getting thrilled by the super downloading speed. So finally buying OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition or Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G, which is offering a bit more than 20% increment in the speed that we are already getting through LTE, is definitely not a good choice.
