Half-Life Alyx release time to be followed by big Valve game news!
Gamers didn’t receive much from Valve in the past few years, but it’s looking to change in 2020. The release time for Half-Life Alyx is set for today, but Valve has also given word that they will be revealing more of their plans this year.
This upcoming game will be taking players to the Half-Life universe while also making the game entirely fit for V.R. Alyx will be set before Half-Life 2 and is set before Gordon Freeman’s return, but instead focusing on Alyx Vance, who faces off against the Combine.
A message by Valve read as follows: “Valve’s return to the Half-Life universe that started it all was built from the ground up by virtual reality. V.R. was constructed to enable the gameplay that sits at the heart of Half-Life. Immerse yourself in deep environmental interactions, puzzle-solving, world exploration, and visceral combat.
Learn to aim around a broken wall and under a Barnacle to make an impossible shot. Rummage through shelves to find a healing syringe and some shotgun shells.
Manipulate tools to hack alien interfaces. Toss a bottle through a window to distract an enemy. Rip a headcrab off your face and throw it out of the window.”
As revealed by Valve before, the game will be releasing on March 23rd, and the time of launch will be displayed on the Steam Digital Storefront.
In the U.K., the release time for Half-Life Alyx will be at 5 pm GMT and at 10 am P.T. in the U.S.
The game will be supporting all PC-compatible V.R. headsets such as Valve Index, HTC Vive, and the Oculus Rift. Stay tuned for the release.
